About us.

What we do.

Ngarluma people are obliged to care for their Country and to preserve Ngarluma heritage and culture. As an organisation, Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is responsible for ensuring this happens.

Managing Ngarluma Country in line with Native Title is the fundamental operating principle of NAC and must be carried out in a way that generates social and economic opportunities for Ngarluma people.

We also act as a legal entity to conduct the affairs of the Ngarluma Native Title holders. We meet with all levels of government departments, industry proponents, property developers and local businesses to discuss and negotiate positive outcomes on behalf of NAC members.

Our work secures agreements that include the protection of Ngarluma Native Title rights, heritage, culture and environment as well as accommodating the rights of tenement holders and stakeholders operating on Ngarluma land.

Our Vision.

"Keeping our culture strong as we work together to empower Ngarluma people towards a sustainable future."

“It makes your spirit feel free in the country, you feel good. We only got country left now. Only got this land left for our generations and our families, that's all we got, land. We are the caretakers of this land.”
