Membership application.
To become a member of Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation you need to meet the following criteria:
- You must be over 18 years old
- You must identify as Ngarluma
- You need to be recognised by other Ngarluma people as Ngarluma
As part of your membership application, you should clearly demonstrate that in accordance with traditional lore and custom, you have a connection to the body of traditional law and culture governing Ngarluma Country.
To apply, please complete the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation application for membership form and bring into NAC offices during business hours. In addition to a completed application form you will also need to provide your birth certificate and photo ID. Once all information is received, your application will go through our membership application process.
*Please note, NAC directors may refuse to accept a membership application even if the applicant has applied in writing and complies with all eligibility requirements.
A Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation member has the following responsibilities*:
- To comply with the Act and these rules
- To notify the Corporation of any change in their address within 28 days
- To comply with the code of conduct adopted by the Corporation
- To treat other members and directors with respect and dignity
- To not behave in a way that significantly interferes with the operation of the Corporation or Corporation meetings

Part of our services involve providing resources and assistance to our members seeking employment.
We ask that members looking for work – be it a first job or a career change – complete our Skills Audit Database Form. This helps us connect you with opportunities most relevant to your skillset as they arise. Please email your completed form to hr@ngarluma.com.au.
We work closely with Rio Tinto’s Aboriginal Sourcing and Engagement Team to match members with suitable employment opportunities.
