Community Notice

We will be conducting our biennial maintenance dredging program at Dampier and Cape Lambert port operations and surrounding waters from mid August 2026 for approximately 4 weeks.

To support the protect dredging program, we will be;

• Daily water quality and sediment plume monitoring surround Cape Lambert.
• Using a trained marine megafauna (whale, dolphins and turtles) observer and maintaining a 300 metre separation between megafauna and active dredging operations.
• Applying additional controls for turtles including physical barriers around the head of the dredge.
